S1 Ep3 – Performance Marketing & Social

In this week’s show, we interview Pete Morgan. Pete is an ex-independent record label owner and now a director at Metia, a B2B digital shop based in London, where he leads performance marketing/demand generation.

In this episode we dive pretty deep into a broad range of topics ranging from the hot trends in social media marketing, is this the year of the data scientist and whether software is going to replace the marketing team.

Regardless of whether you are in B2B or B2C, this is a fascinating episode and we could have spent all afternoon chatting with Pete.

In addition to AFC Wimbledon, Pete regularly tweets on the topics covered in this episode and is well worth a follow. He has also written some fantastic eBooks that are definitely worth adding to your xmas season reading queue. These can be downloaded via the Metia web site.

In addition to the interview with Pete, in this episode, we go on a rant about a recent experience in Starbucks and Pret and discuss the results in the latest Global Web Index report and how sports viewing trends are increasingly moving to mobile.

We hope you take a ton away from the episode (I know we did) and, as always, let us know how we can improve the show and any topics you would like us to cover in future episodes.

Also, for future updates on up and coming episodes, follow Joe and I on Twitter. We are also increasingly sharing more content on the Real Marketing Rap Podcast via Instagram stories. Hope to see you over there!

Enjoy the episode!
